About EmperorScorpion.co.uk and the Site Owners.
This Web Site is currently run by 2 people:
Both are Webmasters of other sites (Non Scorpion Related) and this Site was created because both own a colony of Emperor Scorpions. When they became Emperor Scorpion Owners they had to spend many hours searching many different Web Sites to find all the Information they required to Care for their Scorpion Colonies. After discussing this short coming for a short period of time they decided that it would be a wise idea to craft a Web Site that aided people in learning more about Emperor Scorpions and to also make it easier to find more Information in one Place than having to look through lot's of different sites as they had to when they first entered the Scorpion Owning Hobby.
As mentioned in the Web Site Mission Statement, this Site is hoping to become a "One Stop Resource" for Owners of Emperor Scorpions or those looking into becoming an owner of them.
This Web Site was Started on the 18th of September 2006, it contains 3 Main Areas:
These are broken down as follows;
Web Site pages, mainly HTML (4.01 W3C Valid) Which contain the bulk of Information on the Web Sites subject matter. (Also Known As "Content")
An Interactive Web Forum, where People May join and become Members of the Community and Ask questions or aid others by answering them.
A Web Gallery, this will contain Images relating to Emperor Scorpions (Though other species do have a place within it).
Most of the Informative Content will be placed on HTML Web Pages, these will range from Simple "How To" guides or Tutorials to other relevant information such as the Glossary page. Some information will be repeated on The Forum as "Sticky Threads" so people can easily refer to them if they are Members of the Forum. However if any interesting or useful Information is Posted on The Forum it may be transferred and turned into it's own Web Page. This will be done so that there is both a HTML version and a .php version which will help Web Search Engines pick up the content so it will be easier to find, it also gives more browsers the chance of being able to view the Content in one format or the other if Accessibility is an issue for a Web Site User.
Regarding Web Site Accessibility and Browsers, we have aimed to make the Web Site as cross browser compatible and as accessible as possible by using where possible W3C Valid HTML hand coded pages, or by using Software that is W3C friendly so should be acceptable by most browsers.
We hope this level is enough for our users, however if you find that certain pages or areas are not accessible to you please let us know and we will look into further development to make the site even more accessible. You should inform us via The Forum (If the Forum is not Accessible by you*) and please give as much detail as possible.
